After a long week of work, taking care of children, and being wives, the best medicine is for women to get together and have a girl’s night in. Movies and snacks are fun, but why not try something outside the box? At your next girls night in or get together, why not opt for a skin care party?
Vine Vera would like to offer you some tips in terms of how to go about hosting your skin care party, what you can do to make it fun and special, and the products you’ll need to make it happen.
Facials are always a fun way to kick off a skin care party. You can have fun applying masks, cleansers and serums bought from your local pharmacy, department store, high end store, or even make your own. It’s simple and easy to do, and you can keep things all natural in terms of facial care with simple ingredients such as fruit and milk. An easy to make, simple facial mask recipe for hydrating the face is as follows:
1 Ripe Banana, mashed
¼ C Whole Milk
1 TSP Chamomile Tea
1 TSP Honey
Mix all ingredients together, and apply to the face. Allow the concoction to sit on the face for approximately 10 minutes, then wipe and rinse with warm water for soft, glowing skin.
Peeling masks are a great way to gently exfoliate the skin, provide a renewed, refreshed look, and revive tired, dull skin into something beautiful. When it comes to peeling masks, they are usually applied to the facial skin at room temperature, allowed to sit for approximately 10 minutes, and then rinsed away. The benefits are renewed skin, softened skin.
You can pass out sample cups with sticks of various types of body exfoliating scrubs such as Sea Salt scrubs, sugar scrubs, and others with various scents, colors, and textures. Everyone can have buckets of water at their feet to test out the scrubs on their legs or feet, and or hire a professional to come in to complete the process on everyone at the get together.
What would a skin care party be without a bit of fun? When we say serve drinks, we don’t mean that kind, unless of course you want to opt for a nice glass of red wine! Red wine is the perfect accompaniment to your skin care party due to the Resveratrol found within the wine. Resveratrol has been touted for its ability to provide anti-aging properties, and keep the skin young and healthy. Otherwise, serve whole fruit smoothies and homemade lemonade to detoxify the body and skin from within! Cucumber water with mint is also a refreshing, healthy option.
You can create a toner recipe in the kitchen using distilled drinking water and fresh rose petals. Simply take 2 cup distilled water, the petals from 2 fresh roses, and simmer together in a pot for 10 minutes. Strain the rose petals, and bottle the toner after it cools. Use this to spritz your faces after a facial or peeling mask.
Home skin care parties are a lot of fun, and don’t require much more than a group of friends, some products to sample, and some fun music to enjoy. Vine Vera hopes you will make your next party a skin care party – for health and happiness.
